Pipes & Cigars MM stem replacements

Anyone notice that frequently the "replacement" stems for their cobs that they show don't actually fit?
Almost every time I've bought some, they have failed to fit in the cob, and it WAS shown to be the replacement needed.
It seems that most of those stems are specific to a VERY few pipes.

It is a frustration I have ran into with my cobs from Pipes & Cigars. But in the past, cobs were not that expensive so by the time my stem was shot, the cob pretty much was also.
Now with the price of cobs though, it is a more important factor.
