McClelland 5110 & Perique 5:1 mix

Recommended Posts

Not that it does any good any longer since McClelland has closed it's doors, but I have a few jars of their 5110 mixed with some perique at a 5:1 ratio (5110:perique).  Have let it age for a few years now and popped open a smaller jar to sample.  Dang, it's very near to what I remember Frog Morton used to be like.

It's really a pity that I didn't grab more of the 5110 bulk when I had the chance.  It taught me to grab extra whenever I find something I like now, whether it's preblended or leaf for my own blending.
